Swoosh! Courtside Statistics Easy!
Basketball Players at Tipoff

Halftime and Post-Game Data Analysis

Between periods, at halftime, or directly after the game, statistics for either team may need to be viewed. Swoosh! makes those statistics easy and quick to view.

To access these statistics, begin by selecting View from the menu bar of the main screen. You may select stats for either team or a team summary to compare the two teams.

Visitor and Home Team Stats

By selecting either of these two options, you will be taken to a statistics page for the entire team. This page is customizable to the statistics you want to view. You can add or remove statistics on the page by selecting an option from the menu bar and checking or unchecking the desired statistic. For example, if you want to see how many offensive rebounds were recorded, select Rebounds from the menu bar and select Offensive Rebounds. Make additions one at a time. To remove a statistic from the report, simply find it on the menu bar select it to remove it. Remember, the screen on the Pocket PC is not as large as a PC so you may need to use the scroll bars at the bottom and right to view all players and all statistics desired.

You can also choose to view players by last name. To do this, select View from the menu bar and select Lastname. This will insert the players' last names into the list.

These reports also give you the option of viewing all statistics gathered for a particular player. Highlight the player’s name you want to view by tapping once anywhere in that player’s row on the report. Select View from the menu bar and select Details. A new screen will be shown with all the statistics gathered for the selected player along with a shot chart. The X indicates a made shot and the O indicates a missed shot.

Another tab is at the bottom of this screen entitled All Stats. By selecting this tab, you can view the statistics by period number, at what time they occurred in that period, the type of stat that was recorded, and the details of that stat. If a statistic was accidentally recorded for this player, it can be removed by highlighting that statistic and selecting Delete from the menu bar. You will be asked for a confirmation to prevent unnecessary deletion of stats.

To exit any of these reports, select OK from the upper right corner of the screen.

Team Summary

By selecting this option, you can view a stat comparison of the two teams as well as shot charts for each team as a whole or by period. The stat comparison is the first report you will see and shows results for the entire game.

The “Home Shot Chart” and “Visitor Shot Chart” can be viewed by tapping their respective tabs. Once one of these is selected, you have a few options. On this report, If a shot was made, you will see the player’s number circled in black. If a shot was missed, you will see the player’s number in red. If you only want to see the shot chart for a particular period, select Periods from the menu bar and select the period or periods desired by placing a check mark next to the period number. Deselect a period by clicking on the ?next to the period number. The team shot chart will change accordingly.

Printing Reports

If you use a Pocket PC to collect stats during the game you can use the Swoosh! Game Printing program on your PC to print reports. You can view and print reports for post-game analysis. The program has the capability of printing four different reports with special analysis features– a player report, a team report, a team shot chart report, and a game report. If you collect stats at the game using Swoosh! on your PC you can print reports using the same program.

Use ActiveSync to transfer game files from your Pocket PC to your PC. Click the Explore button in ActiveSync to view the game files that are on your Pocket PC. Then you can copy and paste the game files onto your PC. Once the files are on your PC they can be used to print reports or used in seasons. It is also a good idea to copy your game files to your PC as a backup for your Pocket PC.

There are 4 different reports for games and a season report.
